ABOUT
The Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society is a non-profit organization formed to establish a museum for the preservation of the history of this unique village on the shores of Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay, with a special interest in its historic Marblehead Lighthouse. We work in cooperation with and provide support for the Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, owned and operated by the State of Ohio.
The Lighthouse tours will be offered during Lighthouse Festival, Oct. 12, 2024 from 9am - 4pm
The construction of a replica of the 1876 U.S. Lifesaving Station was completed in 2016.
The present Keeper’s House was constructed in 1880 and was home to a number of keepers and their families.
The Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, with the help of the Historical Society, is currently selling commemorative bricks.
The Lighthouse and Museums are closed until May 24, 2025, except for Lighthouse Festival on Oct. 12, 2024
